Miłka Fijałkowska

I am driven by an unshakable commitment to humanity, dedicated to giving the voice to those, whose stories are often overshadowed by the chaos of conflicts, crises and the indifference of the world.
Milka Fijalkowska is a seasoned journalist with 12 years of relentless dedication to uncovering the stories that matter most— stories of humanity at its most vulnerable and resilient. Her focus on foreign and social affairs, humanitarian issues, and conflict zones has taken her to some of the most volatile regions in the world, where she has shone a light on the forgotten and the displaced.
With a Master’s degree in International Cultural Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, advanced studies in PR, Strategic Communication from the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate Political Studies from the Polish Academy of Sciences and Diplomacy School from the Polish Institute of International Affairs, Milka’s academic journey reflects her commitment to understanding the complexities of global issues. She has further honed her expertise through fellowships at Freie Universität Berlin, Hamburg University awarded by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Hertie Foundation.
Milka has also experience serving at several institutions: Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Center for International Relations, and the UN Global Compact, working on critical issues such as human rights, migration, and foreign affairs.
Milka is now working as an independent journalist and reporter for different media outlets such as TVP Info Foreign Editorial Desk and Newsweek.
From 2013 till the end of September 2024 she has made an indelible mark as a reporter for TVN and TVN24 / Warner Bros Discovery, where she was an author of over 400 tv reports, interviews and articles, contributing to flagship programs such as “Good Morning TVN” and “Black and White,” and TVN24 Premium, that exposed the raw truths behind social problems, conflict and displacement. She has covered the stories that go beyond the headlines, offering insights into migration, humanitarian crises and impact of conflicts on women and children, particularly in the Middle East region.
Her reporting has taken her from the war-torn streets of Sinjar, to the refugee camps in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and the West Bank, to the conflict zones of Ukraine and Somalia and to work on human interest stories in Israel and Palestine explaining the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
