In response to the harsh winter conditions, and with the support of our partners at “Orphans in Need”, INARA’s team in Afghanistan initiated a “Winter Kits” distribution for children in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces.
Freezing temperatures put children at risk of hypothermia, respiratory infections, and other serious health issues. Many families, already struggling financially, cannot afford proper winter clothing, making this support even more critical. So far, we have reached 1,500 children aged between 1 and 12 with essential Winter Kits, including thermal underwear, boots, winter socks, wool gloves, wool caps, blankets, and winter coats, providing warmth and protection while easing the financial burden on families.
INARA remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities in Afghanistan, and soon, we will be distributing food parcels in Kabul to orphaned and women-headed households ahead of the month of Ramadan.
