Walid and his family only have access to one meal a day. No breakfast. No dinner. Just one plate of lentil soup, without even bread.
Day after day, this silent hunger built up in Walid’s tiny body… until he collapsed.
His mother rushed him to INARA’s medical tent, where our team immediately stepped in.
He was diagnosed with jaundice, a result of severe malnutrition. He’s now on IV fluids, slowly recovering.
But Walid’s story is not unique. Thousands of children in Gaza are living through the same nightmare, Too little food. No clean water. No healthcare. No safety.
INARA is doing everything possible to provide emergency medical and mental health support and food relief. But the need is overwhelming and access to food off the market is very limited due to shortage and border closure, and when available it is very expensive.
