Body Safety sessions

Syria

In vulnerable communities such as Syria, returnees are going back to areas where the schooling system is almost non-existent after years of war. Essential aspects of awareness that are usually taught in schools are missing, adding to the vulnerabilities of children in communities still recovering from the impacts of war and displacement.

At INARA’s safe spaces, we provide children with “Body Safety” sessions to help them understand how to protect their personal boundaries and report any possible form of abuse.

Alongside our medical interventions in Syria, mental health and awareness remain a core objective of our work.
